Gan Takada (known as Gan-chan for short) is the leading protagonist of the Yatterman series and son of Tokubei Takada.

Personality

Gan is an expert in mechanics, and he helps fix his father's dream design for the Yatter-Wan. His weapon of choice is a kendama, which he uses as a flail and grappling hook, as well as for his special attack "Kenda-Magic", a zapping attack. He acted much more carelessly on the 2008 version of the show and had a tendency to frustrate his girlfriend, Ai, though he later outgrows that sort of behavior.

Biography

Yatterman

He along with his girlfriend Ai Kaminari and robot Omotchama fight the evil forces of the Doronbo Gang and prevent any trouble they are causing to get a hold of the Skull Stones.

Time Bokan: Royal Revival

Gan is now happily married to Ai and ends up having to stop the Doronbo in a battle, once again showing up just as Jun the Swan is defeated and catches her.

Yatterman 2008

Gan along with Ai and Omotchama once again have to stop the Doronbo gang through many adventures.

Yatterman Night

At this point Gan has perished and doesn't appear in Yatterman Night, but his likeliness is imitated by robot clones by the oppressive Yatter Kingdom secretly managed by Dokurobei. Galina takes on Gan's role and to become the new Yatterman-1.
